Body - Escort Mk2 export spec shell with a lot of similar strengthening to our RS models. Very solid underneath. Floors are very good with no patches or poor repairs . Tank well looks like its been repaired previously. Spare wheel well is good. Very good original inner wings, sills, rear arches. Paintwork is nice on top and under the bonnet. All panels are solid. Only sign of filler is a little in the osr lower quarter where the tank well has been previously repaired. Good straight chassis and not all dented like some. Overall needs nothing doing on the shell for MOT

 

Mechanics - All standard 1600 sport . Crossflow engine starts no problem and sounds fine but there is a bit evidence of a bit back pressure when you remove the filler cap. Gearbox, axle , clutch and brakes are all working ok. Car runs and drives but we have only had it a short distance due to foreign plates etc. Will need carb adjusted for UK climate.

 

Interior - All standard 1600 sport. New carpet, original seats which are decent but not mint, good door cards and headlining. Dashtop looks to have been repaired. Sport steering wheel. 

 

Wheels - Diamond cut Laser / Rs type wheels with 185 60 13 tyres.
