1983 Ford Cortina 3.0 GLS Manual. 1 Owner from new. This is a RHD Import from South Africa with all tax and duty paid and UK reg has been applied for. Its a very original car which starts runs and drives but will need a bit recommissioning. We have the original handbooks with the car

Body - 4 door Mk5 Cortina. Very solid underneath. Floors are all original. Spare wheel well looks to have had a repair in the past Looks like all original panels. It has been repainted at some paint and its a bit flat if Im honest. We will have a go at giving it a buff up this week , see if we can improve it. No real signs of rust. Bit of bruising on lower corners of front panel on both sides. Chrome trim pieces from along the front of bonnet and bootlid are in the car but a bit misshaped. Could be used again. Bits round the front and rear wing corners are missing if not seen on the car.

Mechanics - Good 3.0 V6 essex engine. Starts, runs and drives. Will need a service, good checkover and the carb may need adjusted to suit our climate. The African MK5 3.0 models all had a factory 5 link rear end which helped the stability massively.

Interior - All original and reasonably clean and tidy. Good dash top, door cards, carpet.

Wheels - Deep dish steels with chrome centre caps and trim rings. 4 good 175/70/13 tyres

Overall this is a quite solid original old car and a model which we never got here, being the 3.0 GLS. You are welcome to come and see the car. We have a ramp so you can look underneath. delivery can be arranged if required. please ask for a quote
