Ford Granada MK1 Ghia 5.0 Perana Replica. This car was imported from South Africa about 2 years ago and is extremely solid from front to back. Its fully UK registered and we have the V5 here. Its fitted with a Ford 302 V8 onto a 4 speed manual gearbox. It goes and sounds the dogs danglers. Car is MOT and tax exempt.

 

Body - MK1 Granada Saloon. All looks original underneath with no signs of previous welding. Car is very solid and is not caked with underseal or similar. The body is very straight and tidy. Paintwork is nice and presentable. Its not a show winner but would happily sit with the crowd at any show. Ghia grille, tan vinyl roof and matching rear panel. Has Perana badges and V8 badges on it, similar to a genuine Perana.

 

Mechanics - Good sounding V8 engine which starts no problem with no nasty smoke or rattles. The engine came from a genuine perana as it is a BG engine number. 4 speed manual box  with recent new clutch. Car starts and runs well. As with any old car its worth giving it a good checkover before using it in anger. Bonnet cable retaining clip is missing so you need the assistance of a pair of pliers to open the bonnet. Brakes and suspension all look standard 3.0 nut looks to have had uprated shocks fitted.

 

Interior - Ghia interior which is in good order. Good seats door cards, headlining, carpet, dashtop. Would benefit from a deep clean but overall pretty tidy.

 

Wheels - Granada steels with good tyres.
