Ford Escort Mk2 1600 Sport. RHD import from South Africa with all tax and duty paid. Nova declaration has been done and we will complete all the UK registration paperwork in the new owners name. This one will need a restoration but its reasonably original underneath

 

Body - Export spec 1600 Sport shell with extra strengthening similar to our RS models. Good original inner wings, strut tops, arches boot wells. Will need work on front floors, sills and drivers door post is pretty bad.  Drivers door has damage on the edge as seen in the pics. Paintwork will obviously need redone.

 

Mechanics - Good 1600 crossflow and original 4 speed box. Starts runs and drives. Will need carb adjusted due to the different climate.. Standard Sport suspension and brakes. As with any 40 plus year old car will need a good checkover before hurtling down your local B Road. 

 

Interior - Seats have been recorded with somebodies curtains. Dashtop has been recovered. Sport clocks and steering wheel . Homemade horrible door cards.

 

Wheels - Standard deep dish african sport steels with 175 70 13 tyres. Wheels will need refurbed

 

Needs a full restoration but seen a lot worse as a starting point. Please come and see the car so you know what your up against. We have a ramp so you can look underneath. Delivery can be arranged if required. Please ask for a quote.
