Ford Capri MK1 3.0 GT XLR. 1971 Car with Dagenham Reg 000 781K. First Owner was Ford Motor Company from Dec 71 to Jan 73. It started life as Tawny Brown but was painted Daytona yellow at some point in its life.Its a period survivor car which starts runs and drives and can be used but there is a fair bit room for improvement if you wanted a show car. We have two sets of keys, original handbooks, all mots back to about 86. Tax discs back to the late 90s, a list of every owner and a fair few receipts for what was spent on it. 

 

Body - Mk1 Capri 3.0 shell with all the correct strengthening bits in the right places. Good solid inner wings, strut tops. Floors look solid but have had a few minor repairs over the years. Paintwork is perfectly useable but probably looks a bit better in the pics than it actually is. Its perfectly presentable but if you want to take it to the next level youd need to paint it. In the boot has been stonechipped before it was painted and it looks a bit cheap. Evidence of a repair on driver side sill at some point. Still a decent looking old car but possibly not up to todays standards. Factory sunroof

 

Interior -  Good front and rear seats. Good door cards, carpet. Dashtop has a small crack and headlining has a few minor dirty marks. Centre console is good. 140 mph dash. Very tidy inside aprt from dashtop.

 

Mechanics - Car starts and runs Ok. Engine sound good. Brakes, clutch and gearbox are all good. Car has not been used for about the last two years and has been dry stored in a private collection. Will benefit from a good checkover before being used in anger.

 

Wheels - Road Sport syle wheels with good tyres and chrome centre caps and trim rings
